Some we own for <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"hunting\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"293\">hunting<\/a>, others we take hiking and birding yet there are those that have no real purpose. <a href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/blog\/why-spend-money-on-a-binocular\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I just like having them<\/a>. Then there are those with a strap, some with a harness and the rest with neither. Let me explain.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"To_Be_Bare_Binocular_Harness\"><\/span>To Be Bare: Binocular Harness<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify\">Why not attach the strap that\u2019s included in the box? For one, the <a title=\"binoculars\" href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/blog\/tag\/binoculars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">binoculars<\/a> we keep on the kitchen counter or bookshelf near our back porch are for the quick \u201cHey, what\u2019s that?\u201d moments. We\u2019re always watching birds at the feeder, gazing the moon and stars, or checking out great sunsets. Sometimes it\u2019s a red tail hawk eating a blue jay that grabs our attention. The ones we keep in the truck have a strap on them for all those times we might take a spur of the moment hike, scouting trip, sporting event or see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/blog\/best-times-for-deer-hunting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a big buck<\/a>\u00a0standing out in a bean field. In these situations, we\u2019re not glassing for long periods of time as to experience any neck strain. I do a lot of bowhunting and\u00a0an <a title=\"8x binoculars\" href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/blog\/tag\/8x-binoculars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">8x<\/a> binocular\u00a0is my greatest asset in the heavy wooded areas of New York where it\u2019s essential that my optic becomes a part of my body and adds no bulk or stress to my setup. Being able to grab the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tractoptics.com\/tips-for-off-hand-shooting\/\" title=\"Tips for Off Hand Shooting\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1697\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">binocular with one hand<\/a> and the bow in the other is done effortlessly with this system.
