It was for me anyways!<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">I quickly found out, as I mention below, that the people, ie. your competition, are incredible. They welcome you with open arms and are eager to help out. But that&#8217;s only one of the reasons why I enjoy shooting PRS competitions. Here are the top five reasons why I enjoy shooting PRS competitions.<\/p><h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Target_Shooting_Outdoors\"><\/span>5. Target Shooting Outdoors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify\">I was brought up around firearms and have always loved shooting <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tract-optics.co.za\/avoiding-ticks-while-hunting\/\">outdoors<\/a>. PRS is pretty much the NCAA of what I grew up loving. Nothing like fresh air and the smell of gunpowder. It&#8217;s good for the soul!<\/p><h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_The_Rifles_and_Gear\"><\/span>4. The Rifles and Gear<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Who doesn\u2019t love high end, finely tuned, precision <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tract-optics.co.za\/defining-rifle-actions\/\">rifles<\/a>? Not only are they something beautiful to admire, but also an absolute blast and pure happiness to shoot. In the world of PRS, high dollar\/high quality <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"optics\" href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"942\">optics<\/a> are everywhere.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">It\u2019s amazing when fellow shooters look through my <a href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/all-products\/toric-uhd-4-5-30x56-34mm-ffp-mrad-elr-extreme-long-range-rifle-scope\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TRACT Optic rifle scope<\/a> and find better quality components and clearer glass than others that are hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars more.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">I know I can rely on my <a href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/all-products\/toric-uhd-4-5-30x56-34mm-ffp-mrad-elr-extreme-long-range-rifle-scope\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TORIC rifle scope<\/a> to reliably track and get me on target with the first round I fire at every stage.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tractoptics.com\/riflescopes\/toric-34mm-elr-rifle-scopes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3755\" title=\"5 Reasons Why I Enjoy Shooting PRS Competitions.\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.tractoptics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/David-c-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"5 Reasons Why I Enjoy Shooting PRS Competitions.\" width=\"623\" height=\"415\" \/><\/a><\/p><h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Long_Range_Shooting_PRS\"><\/span>3. Long Range Shooting\u00a0 PRS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify\">For me, as soon as I sent that first shot at a target past a few hundred yards and heard that *PING*, I was absolutely hooked. Being able to successfully engage targets at hundreds and even thousands of yards away is pure bliss.<\/p><h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_The_Course_of_Fire_Shooting_PRS\"><\/span>2. The Course of Fire | Shooting PRS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify\">As enjoyable as ringing steel is at distance, being able to do it while moving and on a clock is challenging but so rewarding. My first match I would almost laugh from happiness every time I heard \u201cIMPACT\u201d in response to my shots.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">I do my best to train in hopes that I&#8217;ll become more competitive in the sport. The Community | Shooting PRS<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2><p style=\"text-align: justify\">By far the very best part of shooting PRS competitions, as I&#8217;ve already mentioned, is the community. My very first match I was so fortunate to have a squad filled with the most helpful (and hilarious) shooters.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">Since then, I have yet to find anyone within the PRS community that is anything but helpful and supportive. Regardless of skill level, every shooter wants the other shooters around them to do well and succeed.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">And when new shooters come in, there is an endless amount of aid offered and given. From loaning <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tract-optics.co.za\/the-best-layering-system-for-hunting\/\">gear<\/a> to coaching on and off the clock, new shooters are encouraged and offered anything and everything to help them succeed.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify\">This community is by far why I keep coming back.
